NAPLAN

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual national assessment for all students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9 and is the only nationwide assessment that all Australian children undertake. NAPLAN is a national, consistent measure to determine whether or not students are meeting important educational outcomes.

When to take the NAPLAN test?

The NAPLAN test window is nine days. From 2023, NAPLAN is moving to March.

What is the duration of the NAPLAN test?

NAPAN test duration is as follows:

(a)Year 3: Total 45 minutes
(b)Year 5: Total 50 minutes
(c)Year 7: Total 65 minutes
(d)Year 9: Total 65 minutes

It may be noted that the scheduling of the test will be after the conventions of language test.
